With all due respect Mr Bily your lad has barely broken sweat in 2 years – it’s a two way street.

  2. james arnold says:

I am afraid he was never suited to the British game, he was slow , had no skill and was lazy

  3. Ellis Vaughan says:

James, referring to Bilyaletdinov as lazy, when Saha does next to sod all every week is a bit harsh don’t you think. All the regulars are getting lazy, as they know they’re guarateed to play the next week

  4. richard lock says:

How stupid – a player needs to show some adaptability – I know Moyes like his players to defend but what did he expect us to do, build a team around his son?

  5. Graham says:

    He’s a got a point.

  6. Pablobrown says:

I agree with the dad, a blind man on a galloping horse could see Bily wasn’t a winger, but for some reason Moyes always played him there. Moyes should of tried him in Cahill’s position.

  7. scouser says:

hate to tell you mate but your son said he was not enrirely comfortable playing in the prem, although i will agree with you about moyes being defensive, that’s the only system he knows and is reluctant to change

  8. Marc says:

Pablobrown considering he was signed as an international left winger what choice did Moyes have ? Do you honestly believe he could hold the ball up in the middle ? Billy wasn’t suited to the prem its as simple as that and better players have failed here too so he isn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last

  9. Kieno says:

The forward pressure from Baines is key to Everton’s play and we cannot do it without a left winger that can protect him.

As for his best position. In Bily’s own words: “My position is left-sided but not as a winger, I come inside then go outside”.

  10. Mick Davies says:

I agree totally with Bily Snr. Arteta has blossomed at Arsenal in a central midfield where he can create chances for attacking players ahead of him. At Everton he never had anyone ahead of him, everyone is busy defending. Why Moyes buys players who are totally alien to the style of play he expects shows his lack of ability as a manager.

  11. Bilyaletdown says:

Don’t agree. With hindsight it seems Moyes got a bum steer from Hiddink. Turns out the physicality and frenetic pace of the Prem was too much for Bily. Nothing to be ashamed of though – better players than him have also struggled to adapt.

  12. Tomi says:

I agree too. Don`t wanna see Rodwell or Anichebe at the wing anymore. Why Distin didn`t play in the autumn? He is one of the best CD in the league.. In my opinion I`d sell Felli. Players like Neville, Cahill, Saha don`t deserve starting place.

Good luck Billy and better opportunities

  13. Matt Boden says:

Billy senior is spot on. I am sure if Billy was given the sma e chance/run in the team that cahil/Osman/neville/saha have had regardless of their form he would have got us goals! Fact is a half here and a ten minutes sub appearance there is not enough for anyone! Look at the Yak, run in the team for Blackburn = goals. Moyes destroys attacking players FACT. Good luck Billy.

  14. Colonel Bogey says:

Arteta has blossomed at Arsenal. Ha ha. You make as much sense as the Russians dad.

Bily was shit, lazy, weak, clueless and a complete shithouse where tackling was concerned. It didn’t matter where he played. Not good enough for this league.

  15. johnefc says:

Moyes has to take the blame on this disaster of a signing , 9million that we didnt have to waiste, not enough homework david. considering he goes to games and watches players left right and centre i found it strange he put 9million pound on the line going of a you tube clip and a guus hiddink comment. Shocking Purchase davey !!!
