Fellaini to miss tour of Australia

Sources close to SOS1878 are indicating that Marouane Fellaini will miss the club’s pre-season tour of Australia due to a minor setback in his rehabilitation from injury.

It had been hoped that Fellaini, who began light training over a month ago, would be able to make an appearance as the Blues depart for Down Under at the start of July.

The setback will come as a disappointment to both the Belgian and his manager David Moyes, but, as always with long term injuries of this nature, it is best to air on the side of caution as opposed to rushing a player back needlessly.

Everton remain confident that Fellaini will be in contention for a place in the squad for the opening game of the season away to Blackburn Rovers on August 14th.
