Gueye out for ‘a couple of months’
Magaye Gueye has his foot in a cast and is expected to be out for a couple of months, according to the reputable Fourth Official on Twitter.
Gueye surprisingly didn’t feature in the friendly against Villarreal at Goodison Park last Friday, although no explanation was given at the time for his absence from the squad.
The French U21 international had enjoyed a fruitful pre-season, finishing as the Blues’ top scorer having netted a brace against Bury and the winner against DC United.
News of this injury, coupled with the ankle ligament injury sustained by fellow wideman Seamus Coleman against the Yellow Submarine, will come as a massive blow to David Moyes who is now shamefully short of options in the wide areas.

Well that’s just fucking marvelous,I’d like to think we’d go out and buy someone,but we’ve needed a new striker for seasons now, and nothing has been done about it, so I honestly believe that if we lost half the squad to injury we’d still go into the new season with the players we had.
Is Bily the only ‘wide’ player we have fit at the club now??
