New away kit to be neon pink
Staff at Everton Two have confirmed to SOS that the Blues will release their new away kit for the 2010/11 season come June 3rd…..and it’s neon pink!!
Clearly not swayed by pleas for the traditional amber and blue that Everton away from home were almost synonymous for in years gone by, Lecoq Sportif will instead treat us to a strip similar to that of Jamie Ashdown’s at Goodison last Sunday!
Here’s to hoping it’s better than our last proper pink ‘effort’….a salmon pink kit that the Blues donned at Blackburn during the 2000/1 season. Unsurprisingly, we lost while wearing it!

I’m sick of these vile, crappy, attention-seeking, showbiz pretender kits akin to those that the RS and other loud-mouth upstart clubs have paraded over the years, also akin to him who now lives in 10 Downing Street. It should be simple – Away kit: yellow. Home kit: royal blue. No badges, tassels, sequins, glitter, go-faster stripes, bird sh1t, 2-tone metallic paint etc. This rubbish should be confined to our tasteless neighbours and mardi gras parades. “Anyone who sees a team playing in royal blue will know they are watching Everton.” Remember that line? Let’s keep our shirts dignified in their understatement, simple in their meaning, and let’s allow our football to do the talking in terms of our identity.
Royal Blue and white for home. Amber and Blue for away.
