Fabiański moved to Arsenal in 2007, and Mucha became first-choice ‘keeper. With Legia he has won the 2007–08 Polish Cupand the Polish Supercup in 2008. In January 2010 Mucha signed a pre-contract deal with English club Everton to join in July the same year.
Mucha made his debut for Slovakia in February 2008, in a friendly match against Hungary.
Trial By Video…………
As can be found more and more often nowadays, even with players from obscure Nations or lower divisions, there is a collection of video content on the net that show the best and worst of the player……here is a selection of that……
1. Mucha in action in the Polish League. Not much to get excited about here but he does show some tidy handling, a decent command of his box and seems to have a monstrous kick on him with either foot!! The slight concern would be, judging by the ending to the video, this may have been put together by his agent. If this is ‘the best of’ Mucha, it makes you wonda, if it’s all Mucha do about nothing!!
2. Less said, the better. Any relation to Paul Gerrard!!??
3. Or perhaps Richard Wright…(1st goal)..although he does redeem it later!
WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF JAN MUCHA? GOOD SIGNING…WASTE OF TIME….BETTER THAN CARLO NASH SO “HE’LL DO”??

His nickname is ‘The Fly’ apparently…dunno if that’s a good or bad thing!
Yeah, it’s a rather obvious nickname though as “Mucha” is the Polish name for a house fly, so unfortunately it’s got nothing to do with his Goal keeping skills!! He’s a good goalkeeper though and has won many Man of the Match awards this year for a surprisingly lacklustre Legia team.
Yeah, but that’s because “Mucha” is the Polish name for a house fly, so unfortunately it’s got nothing to do with his Goal keeping skills. He is a good goalkeeper however and has won many Man of the Match awards this season for a surprisingly lacklustre Legia team. Legia also have the best Goals against record in the Top Division this season and Mucha has conceded just 16 goals in 27 games.
