Arsenal to have “one last go” for Jags?

John Cross, a London-based football correspondent working for the Daily Mirror, has hinted on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal will have “one last go” for Everton’s Phil Jagielka.

Despite having a few bids believed to be in the region of £16 million pounds rejected by the Blues, and Jagielka himself declaring he ‘loved’ playing for the club, Wenger is still on the hunt for a world class centre back and Jagielka most definitely fits the bill.

Jagielka, who signed for Everton from Sheffield United in 2007, denied only last week that he is seeking a move away from Goodison Park.

“There’s nothing I can do about the speculation, but the gaffer has pulled me aside and told me I’m not going anywhere,” Jagielka told talkSPORT.

“I’m happy with that. I’m an Everton player. I love playing for the club, and I’m just going to get on with my job there.”

If only Arsene Wenger shared our vision here at SOS that Joseph Yobo is the Everton defender that could seriously improve Arsenal’s backline!!

Mr Wenger and you gooner muppets do one

David the Moyesiah – why not spend more time worrying about your team rather than panning us?!

Yes, i know its 5 years since a trophy, but its like 15 for your lot. Yes, I know that we are always finishing behind Chelsea, but they have big pockets and we are paying off a stadium loan. Your lot cannot even come close to Liverpool, who are sinking in debt!

Realistically, our club has class. We do not discuss transfers in public UNLESS they have been finalised.

East End Gooner, maybe you don’t discuss transfers but Wenger certainly uses the media to his advantage stating his admiration for players such as Pienaar and Jagielka, it is pretty much the same deal. By doing this the football world knows he is after these players he “admires”.
I wasn’t panning you lot anyway, quite frankly you lot don’t bother me one bit. I honestly believe we are right on your shoulder and a few other of the sky favourites.
As for us not coming close to the RS thats a joke they pipped us to 7th by a couple of points after a terrible first half to the season for us, in fact only Chelsea and Manure had a better second half of the season.
Back to Jagielka he has stated he is happy where he is, so once again Mr Wenger you can appreciate him from afar and do one.
