Blues swoop for Scottish international?
David Moyes is lining up Blackpool talisman Charlie Adam as a replacement for Steven Pienaar, the News of the World reports.
Adam netted 16 times last season for the Seasiders, the last of which being a stunning free-kick in the play-off final at Wembley against Cardiff City.
And Moyes is now ready to test Blackpool’s resolve.
With uncertainty surrounding the future of player of the season Steven Pienaar, Moyes is hoping to bring in any potential replacements before the club set off on their tour of Australia.
The Sunday morning rag also linked the Toffees with Newcastle defender Steven Taylor.

Fuck that.
Absolutely depressed if we get him to replace Pienaar.
I quite like what I’ve seen of him, and he only cost £500k a year ago so we’d hardly have our pants pulled down for him.
Don’t know why Blackpool would let their best player go on the eve of their first premiership season though.
Still not convinced Pienaaris behind the quotes attributed to him. Even if he is, i would keep him for his last year and risk letting him go for a free. IF we live up to our undoubted potential next year, he will be begging to stay anyway, and if not we realistically paid very little for him anyway. No-one is bigger than the club and our strength is our Unity, the boys play for the badge and if they don’t want to then we are better off without. Look at Lescott, not a shadow of the player he was here, and that is because he isn’t part of a cohesive unit that plays for each other, he doesn’t have Jags to bail him out. Anyway, I digress, Pienaar situation will be what it will be and I am not concerned.
Adam a replacement for pienaar? what next titus bramble a replacement for johnny?? god help us!
He is a good championship player that is all.we don’t want him.
