Everton linked with Elmander
Everton are the latest club to be linked with Bolton’s contract rebel Johan Elmander.
The Swedish international is currently plying his trade at the Reebok Stadium, but his existing contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
Everton will have nothing to spend in the summer again unless players are moved on, and according to a few Sunday rags it is believed David Moyes could swoop to take the 29-year-old to Goodison Park on a Bosman.
It is no secret Everton are in desperate need for attacking reinforcements, but Owen Coyle is still hoping to persuade Elmander that his future lies in Lancashire.
“Johan’s well within his own rights to let his contract run to the summer, which will happen, and then decide what he wants to do,” said the former Burnley boss .
“Johan’s been very up front and honest so I’ve got absolutely no problem with that. He’s a top lad and a terrific player and I would love to keep him at the football club.”
