His captain let him down big time (again) and we were unlucky with the last 2 goals and not scoring with Saha's chance.
Moyes isn't absolved of blame but he hasn't lost us this tie, we did that last week mate.

I really can't fathom how some people's faith can be THAT blind.

I confess I was starting to believe in him again after the Chelsea and United games - but tonight has made me realise that those really are one-offs... even Sam Allardyce gets big results occasionally.

he's a rich mans Steve McLaren, one off amazing results, rest of the time distinctly average

To be honest mate, I think the players let him down tonight, his two centre backs were thicker than a bunker wall and just wanted to invite pressure onto themselves. Not to mention the midfielders in front of them weren't closing down quick enough either.
His captain let him down big time (again) and we were unlucky with the last 2 goals and not scoring with Saha's chance.

We clearly set up to preserve the lead rather than play like we did against United. I.e. to not lose, instead of to win. Far too negative, and that's Moyes' fault.
I'm sure Moyes could tell Yobo to stop hoofing. You can't seriously be telling me that Moyes has told him firmly not to do it, yet he continues to do it pretty much every time he gets the ball.
His captain did let him down, but who is it who's stuck with his esteemed captain for longer than he should've done? Who is it who's refusing to give the talent of Seamus Coleman a chance to shine? Neville's failings are mainly through age, any idiot can see he's past his best and needs phasing out.

We should of at least gone into that second leg with a 2/3 goal advantage.

As Tez said, the players have cost us last night in the main, and a special mention to young Jack Rodwell. Moyes holds some of the responsibility, I agree, but to pin it on him is quite unfair. None of our players truly showed up.

The players were under instructions from Moyes to play like they did.
that is the biggest load of tosh i have seen..did you not watch the game.if you did then you would hear the commentator in the first half on channel 5 sayin "moyes is telling his defence to push up,even arteta is telling them" but they didnt push up, so if your sayin moyes instructed them to sit back and play like that then your fuckin stupid.

One slip up?
I bet you'd feel different if you'd been to Lisbon twice this season Joe.
