I give up, I cannot deal with such stupidity.

I really have heard it all now, what a player costs is irrelevant.

Fucking hell.

Good counter.

I'll be leaving the Fellaini threads to everyone else from now on.

I wish I knew what I was supposed to say mate, I really do.

Never in my life have I been faced with or even seen such an argument put forward in defence of a player, I just don't understand it at all.

You mentioned Sandman as if he were endorsing your point but I think you have that wrong. He said the same as what I said, that it isn't Fellaini's fault he cost so much money. It isn't. I don't hate the lad, I dont blame him for us spunking £15m on him...I blame David Moyes.

How you make a leap from that though to somehow trying to justify his worth based on how good he may be 5 years from now is completely beyond me, like I said, I have never heard such 'reasoning' before.

Maybe he will improve, maybe he wont. All I know is right now he is a complete waste of time and a complete waste of money.

Whether he is better in 5 years is completely fucking irrelevant. I mean, seriously...how long do you expect him to be with us, his whole career? Say I entertain this crazy notion that he comes good 5 years from now, what kind of divvies are we? Are you saying we are going to put up with his shitness now, keep giving him chances, eltting him hold us back...all for the good of his development so he can fuck off somewhere else if and when he ever does come good? Well that makes a shitload of sense!

The alternative, and I know this is way out there crazy, we could have actually spent that money on a player who looks even remotely worth it RIGHT NOW!!! No???

No, probably not, im sure you will tell me he will be worth £60m in 2015, after they have put and engine in him and transplanted the by then dead Diego Maradona's brain into him(at a cost of another £15m, but its actually £3m a season over 5 years so we can pretend that it doesnt actually equal the same cos it makes it easier to swallow if we think we got him from littlewoods)...and then everyone rejoices and says how the Fellaini fans were right all along....ahhhh, they will be the days!!!

The funniest thing is, even David Moyes knows he's dropped a bollock. He's trying to make a go out of a bad job and fair play to him. I can guarantee all the delusional Fellaini lovers one thing though. He wont be here to have this conversation in 5 years, he'll have been long packed off to a club more befitting of his 'talents' for about half of what we paid for him(its only 3m a year though, mind) and he will be a long and distant memory of another Moyes rickett in the market.

:suicide:

So when he brings nothing to the team, is that like yesterday when he played Cahill in with a through ball for Cahill to handle it and fuck the chance up?? Or when he put a ball into the box perfectly onto Cahills head for him to direct it straight at Sorensen?? Or against Blackburn when he put a perfect ball onto Saha's head for his second? Or against Wigan where he came on as a sub and changed the game? Or against AEK and Bate where he controlled the game in parts? Or when he constantly gives the ball away? O yeah he doesn't does he?

Cost us too much, but is far from shite. Offers More to the side than a Tim Cahill that doesn't score goals.

I'll correct you there.

Offers more to the side than a Cahill being played out of position to accommodate Fellaini.

So yesterday when Fellaini was creating two clear cut chances for Cahill, was that Cahill playing out of position to accomodate Fellaini?!

No, Cahill was playing as a second striker for the majority of the game yesterday, Fellaini played deeper and created two golden chances for him that he didnt take.

Sorry for thinking you where talking about just yesterdays game.

Sounds a pretty generalised statement from yourself.

"cost us too much, but is far from shite. Offers More to the side than a Tim Cahill that doesn't score goals".

Im using yesterdays game as an example, you know to reinforce a point I make, maybe you should try it instead of posting shite continuously.

It is a generalised statement as Cahill does contribute nothing unless he scores.

Yeah you did, and that was one game.

Even then, he wasn't always deeper than Cahill, at all.

He's not given the chance to score, and fucking Fellaini is in his position.

Funny how Fellaini comes, Cahill stops scoring. Mega Hmmmz.

You were watching a different game then.

If he wasn't playing as high up the pitch as he was why did he end up with 3 goalscoring opportunities? Whereas Fellaini didn't?

Surely if Fellaini was playing as a second striker he would have been on the end of the chances? Would Cahill have created the chances for Fellaini, not a chance!

I don't buy into all this isolation bollocks either. "He put in a good cross", "remeber that through ball".

Like I said, I have been watching Everton games for 20 years, I am a football nut, when football is on, I watch it.

In that time ive gained enough experience to know the difference between a good player and a bad player, between a good performance and a bad one, without the need for isolated run downs of incidents or statistical analysis. Both have their uses but offer no context, they are no substitute whatsoever for having watched 90 minutes.

Yes Fellaini did a couple of good things, as you could pinpoint for every player on the pitch.

Unfortunately his overall display was as effective as a chocolate teapot.

I also love this, "If Cahill had scored one of the headers, no one would be moaning had we won 2-1".

If Cahill had scored the header Fellaini crossed in to him, he would have had an assist, and contributed to a victory. He never scored, so I don't really see the point.

For a football nut who apparently knows everything about everything, Funny you thought we would get relegated last season eh? Real football expert at work there.

I'll counter your argument by saying Ive been watching Everton for 25 years had a season ticket for 16. When footballs on I watch it and know a shite player from a non shite player. Paul Mcshane, Nicky Southall & Marco Boogers are SHITE players. Fellaini is far from it. Also if you're not supposed to judge performances on isolated things what are you supposed to judge them on?! As far as Im aware isolated occurrences such as putting in a good cross, scoring, or creating chances are exactly what performances should be judged on. Not just demanding the ball and looking pretty without any substance.

The first part of your post confirms your attentention to detail as I never, ever said that at any stage.

It's obviously the same attention to detail you apply when watching games at Goodison.
